Partnering with Certe expands the breadth and depth of services available to Genesis clients, provides greater career development opportunities for the talented senior staff at Genesis, and creates a path for Managing Director Phil Robbins to gradually step back from day-to-day management.
The Certe ethos closely matches that of Genesis, ensuring we can take the business to the next level without compromising our commitment to taking care of our clients and staff.
The merger is scheduled for completion March 2025. From October 2024, both businesses will operate as Certe.
Genesis will become Certe from October 2024.
We will continue to operate as Genesis Financial Partners until that time, although you may notice an interim change in our logo that reflects our affiliation with Certe.
All Genesis advisers and support staff will remain with the business; you can continue to work with your adviser the way you always have. There will be no immediate changes to your adviser’s contact details.
If we are the adviser for your insurance policy, superannuation, or investment account, it’s important to know that there will be no change to your:
- Investments
- Insurance
- Administration fees
- Account details (including any beneficiaries and authorities)
- Pension payment amounts and frequency (if applicable)
- Defined Benefit entitlements (if applicable)
- Policy / account numbers
There will also be no impact on current insurance claims.
You’ll continue to have access to the same people, products and services you know and trust.
There will be no change to your existing policy or account numbers.
There will be no change to your existing adviser service fee as a result of the merger.
Genesis previously serviced your financial planning needs as an authorised representative of Madison Financial Group, an Australian financial services licensee (AFSL 246679). In January 2024, to align with Certe, we moved from Madison Financial Group to Fortnum Private Wealth (AFSL 357306).
Fortnum is now the licensee responsible for our financial product advice and has access to your personal and financial information.
There will be no impact on current or in progress insurance claims.
We will continue to manage any claims on your behalf, and there will be no interruption to the claims management process or the contacts you have at the insurer or with Genesis.
There will be no impact on any cover offered as part of a Group Insurance Plan. The only change is that Certe will now administer and manage your policy on your behalf.
There will be no impact on your Group Insurance Plan. You can continue to work with us the way you always have. Our bank account for payment of ongoing service fees was updated in January 2024 – the details are provided with your invoice.
