Partnering with Certe will expand the breadth and depth of services available to Genesis clients, provide greater career development opportunities for the talented senior staff at Genesis, and create a path for Managing Director Phil Robbins to gradually step back from day-to-day management. 

The Certe ethos closely matches that of Genesis, ensuring we can take the business to the next level without compromising our commitment to taking care of our clients and staff.

The merger is scheduled for completion October 2024.  We will continue to operate as Genesis Financial Partners until that time, although you may notice an interim change in our logo that reflects our affiliation with Certe.

Over the next twelve months we will be working behind the scenes to integrate systems, services and staff. From October 2024, both businesses will operate as Certe.

All Genesis advisers and support staff will remain with the business; you can continue to work with your adviser the way you always have.  There will be no immediate changes to your adviser’s contact details. 

If we are the adviser for your insurance policy, superannuation, or investment account, it’s important to know that when we merge with Certe there will be no change to your:

  • Investments
  • Insurance
  • Administration fees
  • Account details (including any beneficiaries and authorities)
  • Pension payment amounts and frequency (if applicable)
  • Defined Benefit entitlements (if applicable)
  • Policy / account numbers

There will also be no impact on current insurance claims.

You’ll continue to have access to the same people, products and services you know and trust.

There will be no change to your existing policy or account numbers.

There will be no change to your existing adviser service fee as a result of the merger.

Genesis has been servicing your financial planning needs as an authorised representative of Madison Financial Group, an Australian financial services licensee (AFSL 246679).  From 16 January 2024, we will move from Madison Financial Group to Fortnum Private Wealth (AFSL 357306). 

Fortnum will become the licensee responsible for our financial product advice and will have access to your personal and financial information.

Genesis will remain your financial advice partner.  The change in dealer group will not result in a change to your adviser, investments, insurance, account and login details or adviser service fee.

There will be no impact on current or in progress insurance claims.  

We will continue to manage any claims on your behalf, and there will be no interruption to the claims management process or the contacts you have at the insurer or with Genesis.

There will be no impact on any cover offered as part of a Group Insurance Plan.  We will continue to manage your policy on your behalf. 

There will be no impact on your Group Insurance Plan.  You can continue to work with us the way you always have.  From 16 January, 2024, there will be a new bank account for ongoing service fees – these details will be provided with your invoice.

There will be no immediate change to Genesis phone numbers, postal, email and web addresses.  Our office address is 7/72 Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000.
