Genesis is merging with Certe

Some time ago, after much discussion and deliberation, we decided to merge Genesis with another advisory firm, Certe.  We made this decision for a range of reasons, but principally because we saw an opportunity to bring greater resourcing to Genesis as we continue to expand our financial planning and investment offerings to clients.  Most importantly, we wanted to increase the certainty for the future career paths of our great Genesis team.

– Phil Robbins and Wilton Wong, Genesis Managing Directors

Certe and Genesis together will mean a large, integrated financial advisory firm with 20+ staff and 9 advisers.

Our Service Promise

Genesis clients will continue to access the wide range of advice, benefits and support they currently receive.  There will be no change to your adviser, investments, insurances, account / login details or fees as a result of the merger.

A New Licensee

Over the past 12 months, we have been busy integrating the Genesis and Certe back-office operations (IT, Processes, Finance & Accounting etc).  The last part of this massive task is the move from our current licensee Madison Financial Group (AFSL 246679) to Certe licensee Fortnum Private Wealth (AFSL 357306).  As with Madison previously, Fortnum will be the Licensee responsible for the financial product advice we provide. The change in licensee will be effective January 16, 2024.

When will the merger be finalised?

The merger is scheduled for completion October 2024.  We will continue to operate as Genesis Financial Partners until that time, although you may notice a small change in our logo to show our affiliation with Certe.

Who is Certe?

Certe is one of Australia’s leading specialist risk insurance and employee benefits consulting firms.
